Earthworms are the best friends you could ever have in your garden!  They keep the soil structure open, creating a multitude of channels which allow the processes of both, aeration and drainage to occur. They are also a vital component for a healthy soil, since earthworms break down grass and leaves so microorganisms can work to make the soil healthy and rich in nutrients.

Did you know?  An acre of land can contain more than a million earthworms!
