Fun With Pumpkins, Apples, Corn & Hay: Fall For Kids Guide

With all the fall activity going on around you, make sure you get the kids in on all the fun. Fall is a great time to take the young ones to pick out pumpkins, taste fresh apples or find their way through a corn maze. They’ll end up having so much fun this fall, you’ll wish you were still their age.

Of course, depending on where you live around the country, you may be limited to certain activities but we’ve compiled some of the more popular activities around the country.

Pumpkin Patches
One of the best places to find a pumpkin is in Illinois, where Milton, Illinois, the “Pumpkin Capital of the World” is located. Milton already had their big pumpkin festival, but if you visit Butterprint Farm, you’ll be able to pick your very own Illinois pumpkin. The kids will also love the petting zoo and the hayrides.

A few other great pumpkin patches include Peter’s Pumpkins in Shakopee, Minnesota where many other fresh vegetables are also available. In California, visit the Adobe Pumpkin Farm in Petaluma. Arizona’s Mother Nature’s Farm opens on October 1st to the local Gilbert residents and visitors. And Maryland’s Butler’s Orchard in Germantown will host a pumpkin festival at the end of September.
