Radishes are root vegetables that can be found in red, purple, pink, white, black and lavender.  They contain as much potassium as bananas.  They are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B6 and folate.  Besides vitamins, radishes are a rich source of magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, phosphorous, zinc, copper and calcium.  A cup of sliced radishes provides approximately 20 calories.
